Can we ask for some news, status update regarding the future here, since we are entering october?

I have the game not installed ATM, but am waiting to do so

Is there something we users can help with?

Which part don't you like about his suggestions? The 911s, F1 GTR, weather effects or Long Beach track?

I personally hope that all of it happens!

Its not that I don't like them. I'd love it too. Just seems a strange time to ask is all :)

I hope most of them didn't leave, they're just watching from the outside, waiting for any development. Bring back the touring car championships and I'll hop back in the blink of an eye :)

I still love this game :)

Here is some more "CarPorn" from the last weekend at the Gilmore Auto Museum at Hickory Corners Michigan, USA and the Cadillac laSalle Club Museums Fall Festival.  There are a few old race cars mixed in with the gorgeous antique jewels.

I drooled a lot here too.

Several phones ago, I found myself at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame at Talladega. There were many stock cars there, a few pace cars, and some other interesting vehicles. Sadly, the pictures did not survive the transition to the new phone.

Some were suggestions and some were hidden files. Weather was hidden for a couple of years and was hinted as a big update, as was customization (custom paints and liveries as far as I know), in addition to Porsche. All of them were hidden files and thus, there was hype. Very little hype, but it was still there.

I say was because the only time you really see those files is when you gain a bunch of files during installation. It says what it is installing but includes some files that aren't local yet.

Yep.

Although I won't be racing for any time soon, I want to see a good old friend to get well soon.

And I want to see some live sunday races with all the old stars and newcomers... just like during the last Championship

Hey Guys,

Been away from SRW for about 4 months now having moved to Thailand to teach English and reallly sorry to see SRW out of action right now.  From what i've read (which isnt everything) SRW needs more cash. Certainly the time away from here since June has helped me to appreciate what a great service SRW offers and all for free is truely remarkable and fantastic entertainment.  Some car track combos have literally had me playing all day and all night and i've missed the action being so far away from my wheel. Got an xbox 360 now so hopefully i can give you guys some racing action again soon. Maybe the current pause will help us all to appreciate just how good SRW is, the old addidge you dont know what you've got till its gone i think holds well with SRW. Anyway just really wanted to say if subscriptions are whats needed then i for one will be more than happy to oblige. I still think this game is the best out there.

Thought i'd share a few experiences of Thailands roads with you guys now were all in the pits for a while, hope it gives a little relief whilst were waiting.  When it comes to roads and driving Thailand is totally crazy. I guess there's a highway code somewhere but no-one's read it and if it was around it would have just one page with ANYTHING GOES written on it. Thailand is a poor country, most people cant afford cars so the moped is the prime mode of transport for most people. Adults, children, babies (the most ive seen is 2 adults and 2 children all on the same moped, although to be fair the youngest child was sitting in a shopping basket on the front), LPG bottles, items of furniture, its either the moped or nothing because thats all they have. I've hired 150cc scooter, i'm an ok rider but prefer 4 wheels to 2 but you need radar and sonar over here to help keep out of trouble. Most people dont wear helmets, routinely pull out without looking, routinely ride AGAINST the flow of traffic (i mean you cant even do that at SRW without being DQ'd) and as for riding protection, most people just wear shorts, tee shirt and flip flops. Literally just crossing the road on foot can be a real challenge. There are places designated where people can cross but no-one hardly ever stops. It has been a real eye opener. On the plus side the food is amazing, the scenery is breath taking and the people will do anything to help you if you need it (as i have on a number of occasions).

Anyway, hope this all gets sorted out soon, and hope to see you all on track soon too (I'll be the mad man pulling out of the pits without looking and heading into oncoming traffic) :)

The Formula Furburd I drove last night for about 3 laps each and here is my best lazy time.  That is a fun car.

Paradise frontwards 2:52.884

Glen long  2:44.340

Mid Ohio W/chicane 2:16.398

So that should establish the slowest time for ya

:)

I gave the Firebird Formula an outing at Mid Ohio w/chicane and 10laps of fuel (27ltr, iirc) on board and got...

1:55.196

With an engine that big it ought to push out a lot more power and go faster, but it wasn't a bad drive...

But then I went and got it's older cousin the RS/SS and did...

1:44.378, which was OK, but with a lot of practice I know I could get into the 1:42 range.

If you ever set up a proper challenge page I'll drop my time into it.

This is the ONLY game I have spent ANY money on in over 5 years.... if it goes the sub way, I'd stump up the cash. (as long as it doesn't take the piss like iracing)

Happy to say that there are good news, but please allow me to save the details for later, because some things need to be done right away.

I will put together a few, temporary Quick Races on my own, but please go ahead make your suggestions. What would you like to see running in the nearest term and for a fairly longer period of time?

Let's do this  :)

P.S.

The very first user to login after this break was peter.dimov . Please greet him, when you see him. Not sure if he kept on trying for all that time or just got lucky, but that's him.
