First released in 2005, the Mégane Trophy was created to contest Renault's one-make racing series, the Eurocup Mégane Trophy. This, the eagerly-anticipated second generation of the stunning competition car, rolled off the production lines at Renaultsport's Dieppe factory four years later. Like its predecessor the Mégane Trophy Mk II is notionally based on the road-going Mégane. However in reality, beyond its shared lights and windscreen, it's a completely different animal. And with a mid-mounted 3.5-liter V6 producing 360 bhp and a composite body and tubular chassis which keep the car's weight at supermodel proportions, we do mean "animal".

Please share your reviews, videos, pictures, or critiques about the Mégane Trophy in the comment section. And be sure to check back regularly to read our very own Simraceway staff give you some insight into the creation of our high-performance machine.
