Poll: Points for positions in SRW Race to the Weekend (33 member(s) have cast votes)

How many points should we award for positions in SRW Race to the Weekend qualifier?

  1. Leave it as it is, so 100% of SRW Sunday Race-Off points (9 votes [27.27%])

    Percentage of vote: 27.27%

  2. Lower down to 75% of SRW Sunday Race-Off points (3 votes [9.09%])

    Percentage of vote: 9.09%

  3. Lower down to 50% of SRW Sunday Race-Off points (15 votes [45.45%])

    Percentage of vote: 45.45%

  4. "I have no idea" - Kimi Raikkonen (6 votes [18.18%])

    Percentage of vote: 18.18%

This thread is a result of: http://community.sim...83-rttw-points/

Basing on the poll results and all opinions shared, I'm proposing a new poll, which will directly decide about the future of points in SRW Race to the Weekend qualifier events.

Please give it a good thought and make a vote.  :)

Coss why is no there an options for no points at all?

Because of the non options for no points I feel a bit like Kimi so my vote goes to ˝I have no idea˝

Because if you look at the earlier thread, the no points option has clearly lost with 11 votes. 13 votes went to either the same number of points as now or less than now.

50% for me. A good compromise I guess

Clearly lost? This is one way to see it. Another way would be that it was the option with the most votes. ;)

I have expressed my opinion about RTTW points (only points during Sunday qualifying make sense), so the only option left for me to vote is the -50% one, since it reduces them as much as (availably) possible.

Less points will make RTTW less valuable and from strategical point of view it will become more of a Practice or Q1 session in Formula 1, rather than Q2/Q3 what it was to date. Maybe not as bad, but very close.

at the minute over 42% of the vote... think it deserved to be on the ballot paper for the official vote.......

Ok, I think it's safe to say at this stage of the poll that there's a clear wish to lower the importance of SRW Race to the Weekend points, so we will start using the new system in next, 30th edition. The current SRW Race to the Weekend points will stay, but SRW Sunday Race-Off ones will be double that, so: 1st - 40 points, 2nd - 36 points, 3rd - 32 points, 4th - 28 points, 5th - 24 points, 6th - 20 points, 7th - 18 points, 8th - 16 points, 9th - 14 points, 10th - 12 points, 11th - 10 points, 12th - 8 points, 13th - 6 points, 14th - 4 points.

I was thinking why not keep the points as they are but treat the rttw as qualifying for the race?

That was one of the options, but the drama involved in live and open Qualifying session is a key part of the show here and we would lose it then.
