From the scallops in its redesigned hood section and front doors to its full-width taillights, there are more than a few visual references to one of the model's most celebrated incarnations, the 1968-1970 Dodge Charger R/T that memorably co-starred with Steve McQueen in cult movie Bullitt, while its completely refashioned one-piece instrument panel represents a nod to the 1971 model. Under the hood, meanwhile, the muscle car credentials of the 2011 Charger's flower-powered ancestor have been maintained thanks to a 370-bhp 5.7-liter EZD HEMI V8 which, despite the limitations of its 5-speed automatic gearbox, can still take it from 0-60 mph in under six seconds of sensory pleasure.
