And here we go! The second stop of our Renault World Tour is reached: Zandvoort aan de Zee

Please don't mind the first post at the moment. The schedule is yet to be updated.

All drivers, who have been invited for Act 1 of the Renault World Tour, have now access to Act 2, as well!

Let's get together for a first drive on sunday (tomorrow, 10th of May) at 6 pm GMT and have some fun with your favourite of the four available cars!

Please read the schedule and give feedback on any unclear statements!

After the "first drive" we decided to change the Renault Mégane 250 RS in for the BMW GT2 car in the long distance comparison, because the Trophy and the GT2 car cause each other too much trouble, when together on track.

We'll invite the newly founded teams PRD and SGP to participate in the three events of the RENAULT WORLD TOUR's 2nd ACT!

Please name the drivers of your team, who want to race at least two out of the three above scheduled events! We will then give them access to the event servers.

We hope to see you guys on track, practicing and we're looking forward to breathtaking races with you!

For the last race, the multiclass encounter, will both groups receive points for an A race.

That means, first Mégane Trophy earns himself 54 points, as does the first Mégane RS. This should give you guys the freedom to race, whatever car you prefer for a two hour race with enabled tire wear and mechanical failure.

Is there something wrong with the schedule, people?

Only 8 men showed up for tonight's race. We'd have welcomed you guys, but you weren't online... Let me know, if there's something unsaid in the schedule (first post: open the spoilers)

The Mégane Trophy Challenge, first run of the Renault World Tour's second Act, was set to be a breathtaking race. We had a clean start with no reason for a restart, which is normally a good sign.

But then, the rough tarmac of Zandvoort started taking its tribute. One after another found a way to spin into the barriers. Out of what one could call an evenly matched field.

Thus, in the end there were two sole survivors battling over a pit stop's distance for the final word in this cool race.

Finally, PRD's ProDriver brought the win home with a healthy margin to SDEv's Alex_Djuzhen, who came in second.

All others crashed out, due the challenging track conditions.

Next time better, mates!

It was a great race, nevertheless. i'm looking forward to our next encounter!

I didn't see the spoiler, so I didn't know the race was last night. I was even free!

Apologies for that, and since I won't attend the Formula Renault race, see you at the endurance race!

The first Formula Renault 3.5 practice will take off in less than five hours from now.

As the F 3.5 is available for a free testdrive this weekend, you should all use the oppotunity to make friends with the energetic blue French and convince yourselves of its qualities.

The following support race could either feature the Mégane Trophy or Mégane RS 250. We'll decide that on the spot.

Saturday, 13th of June, will see the first practice and qualification event for the mixed class "Renault Méganes challenge".

In order to give the preparation for the mixed class event some shape, we'll organise the first and second practice as if they were heat races.

Practice/Qualification

sat, 13th of June, First Practice: Renault Mégane RS250 (10 laps)

fri, 19th of June, Second Practice: Renualt Mégane Trophy (10 laps)

The endurance character of this event has proven to bring out a high "mortalitly rate" ;-)

The race will have the following features:

I just wanted to post a quick roundup of the final race.

[Qualifiying]

P1 Agus1601 (ATS)
P2 Sierra28 (SDEv)
P3 Jll (ART)
P4 Bolihnas (ART)
P5 Kingdaeho (ATS)
P6 Clark16 (Idv)

Race:
Agus was not able to start the race due to power problems during Warmup. Off the line, King had a great start, slotting past both ART Meganes, and going done the inside of Sierra to take first.
Clark unluckily crashed out at the chicanes on Lap 1. Sierra went wide into the gravel and came back onto track behind Bolihnas and Jll, but managed to overtake both of them to chase after King.

Something happened at the front, as Sierra soon found himself behind Jll who had been overtaken by Boli. Jll made a mistake and this allowed Sierra to past and take P3, before once again passing Boli. A short battle ensued between Boli and Jll before the latter slid off the track into the gravel.

On Lap 14, King, who had a big gap at the front unfortunately ran out of fuel, parking his car at the side of the track. Just before that, Sierra had had a crash but still managed to make it to the pits for his pitstop, which left him P3, a pitstop's length behind Boli.

3 laps later Jll had a huge crash, sliding off at the Audi Chicane and smashing his car up. He blamed "concetration issues". Ultimately, Boli made his pitstop, but still managed to bring his car home ahead of Sierra who drove brilliantly during the race as well

---------------------------------------------

I personally enjoyed this Act, and look forward to the next one. Thanks to Tiptoe and SDEv for this fun, exciting and amazing event!

Just for the record, my computer glitched and went black screen, causing me to crash badly into the tires. Not a fuel issue. :(
