It's been talked about a fair bit. What I would like to see is something similar to what's used in Game Stock Car (which runs on the same Rfactor engine) as it would prevent a lot of accidents and should be available in all views.

It's a must have feature. I was forced to use cockpit view from the very beginning of my carrer (thanks to SimRacingPL guys) and now it's so natural for me that I almost can't drive with different view. The problem is, in most cars mirrors are too small/outside my view/hidden behind A pillar/impossible to set up correctly and at some point racing, especially in faster cars become dangerous.

In rFactor all you have to do to enable virtual mirrors in cockpit is to change one line in .PRL file but in Simraceway this file is encrypted. It's really suprising why Simraceway didn't enabled us much requested feature which already exists and even more why it's so low on their to-do list.

so far i havent encountered problems with the mirrors, however ive only driven street cars. i can usually see the side mirror on driver side, and the rear view mirror, which is enough for me to tell when somone is coming up behind me.

We all "most of us" try too drive fair . And if you dont know what is happening behind , you leawe rom for anoher car youst in case , but you lose time . It would be great to hawe wirtual mirror especialy in 1st corner that you can see if dive bomb is coming .

Racing is what real men do while the boys play football .

Agree with all.

I would like to add: "If mirror graphics take to much memory, perhaps a "radar indicator" could be an viable option."

(Like the Corvette used a radar indicator in there rear-view camera-monitor in the Endurance races.)

To me that currently used virtual mirror in TV Cockpit as well as 3rd person view would fine enough if i could access it in cockpit too. Everything further i realy start to like the iracing way. So you use virtual mirror to judge the crowd behind and in fight you follow the spotter who is telling you on which side are how many cars and also says "clear" at the point you can use the whole track width again.

So Virtual Cockpit mirror + useable Spotter would be the most elegant way. Also this would make the nascar addicts very happy.

OK so build 91 has given us the side virtual mirrors, which is better, but we still haven't got mirrors in the cockpit view.

And the lap timers overlay the side mirrors anyway lol. Maybe make them movable?

Yes I made another post about that and suggested this,

At the moment if you want the side mirrors on it's best to turn the HUD info off so you can see them. The problem with this is it also turns off handy things like the countdown to the start of the race.

For me it would be much better to have the three mirrors together, and dont move the times.

Well it won this pole http://community.sim...-srw-fix-first/ so I hope it will be fixed sometime in the near future.

I agree, I would rather have one mirror across the middle but with vertical lines down seperation the side mirrors from the rear one. At the moment I have the side ones turned off because I would rather read the times and other stuff.
