Edit: Ignore this post!  See the posts below.

Hey people, the winner of the Car of the Year will be the next Test Drive Tuesday with its half-price discount.  The Nissan GT-R GT3 is a $3.00 car so it's just a $1.50 discount, and most of us probably own it already anyway.  So I suggest that you change your vote to one of the expensive cars that you don't own yet!

Based on current votes, these are your best bets to switch your vote to and get a good discount on Tuesday:

Jaguar D-Type $7.50 (currently 8 votes)
Honda NSX $7.50 (currently 5 votes)
Lotus 72 $7.50 (currently 4 votes)
McLaren MP4-29 $6.25 (currently 4 votes)
Honda HSV $6.25 (currently 2 votes)

You have two good alternative choices.  If you like a smooth fast GT then vote for the Honda NSX.  If you like an old classic with tons of character, vote for the Jaguar D-Type.

Again, if you voted for the GT-R (or the $2.50 Simraceway 6XJ4), hit that "Delete My Vote" button and vote for one of the expensive cars listed above for a chance to get a much better discount!

Note that I already own all of these cars so I'm not saying this for my own self-interest, I'm trying to help you guys out.  ;)

Given the above, to keep the voting process absolutely fair and square, away from any external influence, we are forced to change the plan for upcoming Test Drive Tuesday, effective immediately.

As a result of that decision, none of the candidates, regardless of the final result, will be involved in the upcoming Test Drive Tuesday. They will definitely be a part of Test Drive Tuesday somewhere in the future, but not in the next one.

Good choice Coss. Obviously I want the D-Type to win because I voted for it; but if more people genuinely prefer the Nissan then the next TDT shouldn't be allowed to skew the result.

OK that was probably the best decision since you're actually trying to determine the most popular new car of 2014.  :P

PS: sorry i wrote in english without translation... and my message is a mess. This new year is hard for me...

A vote for the Firebird from me, lol.

Actually kinda had to choose between the Bird and the Huayra, but the Huayra is a bit expensive.

Beer.

The grand final is in progress: 2012 Nissan GT-R GT3 (19 votes so far) versus 1955 Jaguar D-Type (12 votes so far)!

I find this incredible, we have two cars separated by 57 years of technology battling for the crown of 2014.  :)

Try them both in the game now, keep voting and sharing the link to poll. Thanks in advance!

I voted early on, my vote went to the Lotus 72, love old school f1s and this is a great one. My 2nd fav of the group would be McLaren MP4-29, as supercar1 pointed out its great to see SRW keeping up with current F1 cars.

Personally think SRW has the best openwheelers out of any game :)

Thank you all, 82 voters and especially those who also shared an opinion. I have locked the thread earlier today, to stop the process, because we've reached the final conclusion.

2012 Nissan GT-R GT3 with 21 votes has taken the Simraceway's Car of the Year 2014 title in a very strong way! Followed by two other podium finishers, so 1955 Jaguar D-Type with 12 and our own, dear Simraceway 6XJ4 with 11 of your votes.

We will take a little break here, take a good care of the winners and come back to this topic again in a few weeks from now  ;)
