Following the Announcement, I would like to make sure that everything goes well and you all get the most fun out of the occasion. To achieve that, we need a properly organized environment and this thread will help us with that.

Once you try the cars in Practice mode and decide that this or that combination would work in Quick Races, please make sure to propose it below. I will follow this thread very closely and make sure to prepare events for those with the most Likes. Try to avoid posting a duplicate, just browse through and if you find a similar one - Like it, because that is what will increase it's chances.

Based on testing at the Laguna Seca Track Day, I'm going to suggest some combos with reasonably similar lap times, starting with:

Laguna Seca:

Mitsubishi Evo III
VW Jetta TDI Cup
Toyota MR2
Toyota Supra

This is a strange combo I want to try because the way the Jetta makes lap time is so different, I think it might make for interesting quick races.  A couple of times I drove the Jetta vs a couple of friends in the Supra and I thought it was fascinating.  The Jetta seems so much slower but at each turn it relentlessly catches up to the Supra.  Also the Evo III gets no love in this game but I think it's the best Evo and is the fastest of this group at Laguna.

Laguna Seca:

Formula SAE
Jaguar XKR-S
Audi TT RS
Audi RS4

Another weird combo but the FSAE is hardly ever used and it gets similar lap times to these cars at Laguna.

Hi,

Firstly I would like to say this kind of celebration here in SRW was a very good idea.

I thought it would be a great occasion to bring some exotic supercars out of the garage, so I picked some car/track combos are not too difficult to drive with so much powerful cars (it terms of excessive understeer/oversteer) during the corners. Another criteria I used was that the track should provide some good opportunities to step up on the accelerator and reach high speeds - in long straights.

  • McLaren F1 LM @ Area 51 Short
  • Koenigsegg Agera R @ Daytona Road Course
  • Pagani Zonda R @ Indianapolis Road Course
  • Maserati MC12 Stradale @ Watkins Glen Long 2 (without chicane)
  • Pagani Huayra @ Silverstone GP
  • Bugatti Veyron SuperSports @ Homestead-Miami RCB - the layout is this one, with that long corner which is part of the oval layout. tracks_homestead_RC_B.png?1346265424

Oh! Oh! Furai @ Assen!

Goodness what a fun package. The car is so controllable even with all assists off. The S at the beginning, what a pleasure. The long fast lefthander before the last chicane: Whaaaa!

I want this!

I got one some that'd be pretty fun and exciting.

Formula SAE @ Sonoma kart

GT's @ Laguna Seca w/ day - night transition (both GT2 & GT3 in the same race if possible but separate class results)

Ariel Atom @ Cadwell Park

Hyper cars @ Assen (Koenigsegg Agera R, Pagani Zonda R, Pagani Huayra & Bugatti Veyron SuperSports)

Sprint cars @ any oval

Caterham Superlight R300 @ Brands Hatch
