I followed your guide and it's amazing, now I feel a lot more but I have a problem. I don't think it is made by this setup but maybe you met something like this before. When I'm driving more than approximately 50 kph I can't turn car's wheels more than 25-30% even when I turn my DFGT to the maximum. Almost every oversteer ends with a spin and when cars slows down the wheels slowly go to the maximum. I tried to uninstall the logitech drivers but the problem still remains. It doesn't appear in other games. I will be really grateful if someone can give me some advice.

I'm laughing!

There you are. Posting a question to a forum full of intelligent people and nobody understands how to help you with the simple speed sensitivity setting.  :D

Turn down "speed sensitivity" in the settings and you'll be fine! This setting is for keyboard users.

Edit: YardStick, you already said that. Sorry, I overlooked your post, mate!

Thanks ingange for mentioning this possible issue.  I didn't even know it happens.

I took apart my g27 today to check the coder wheel.  It was fine, not loose but the wheel did have that line through it too.  I think it's how its casted.  I rubbed some crazy glue with a toothpick over the line just to reinforce it.

I put some crazy glue on the threads that hold the sensor but they werent loose.  I don't run high FFB in general though.

Anyone else who wants to do this- it's a bit tricky.  You remove the wheel itself and the electronics inside.  Then you can remove the screws and open it up.  Remember to recenter the plastic bar that sets the hard limits for left and right to be centered.

I am looking for a DFGT wheel mod for FFB on youtube. There are a lot of videos.

Is there a  good one OR is there someone who already did a mod?

Please share your info.

Are you still having linearity problems or what?
I have DFGT and I use this .ini. In game I set the FFB -effects (Options->Feedback->) to low or medium depending the car, and I've dragged the 'force feedback strength' - slider to 60)

I didn't use profiler for years, I downloaded it recently and managed to get it to work. I've set my wheel rotation to 460 degrees, (I think the game uses default 400 degrees.)

I have noticed there's huge difference between cars what comes to FFB. Some of them, like the Maserati MC12 GT,1 kicks like a mule and in general saturates the FFB completely. Like full clip all the time. It pretty much prevents it from giving me any useful information, so I crank it down and use it only to center the wheel. - And then there are cars like Morgan 3wheeler which has pretty much perfect feedback. You actually can feel the understeer building up.

You probably know this already, but there's also some difference between cars what comes to "Steering Lock". (Pit->Chassis->Steering) It can be anything between 12 to 22 by default and it has a great impact on steering. Check that every time.

Am I helping at all?

I figured it out. I had to add very little deadzone to the pedals and lower some sensitivity.

With deadzone 0, my pedal would jump to 100% with only a gentle 5mm push sometimes.

I set the deadzone for each axis for 5pt, except the weel it's now 1pt.

So... It wasn't so much about the forcefeedback?

I have those weird deadzone and 5mm to 100% quirks too. With DFGT pedals and with fanatecs too.

Mostly I get this huuuge 50% deadzone. I have to press the pedals half the way before anyting happens.

I usually get rid of the problems just by moving any of the rate-slides a tiny bit to some direction and then bringing it back where it was - and bam, it's back to normal, smoothly from 0 to 100%..

Sometimes I have to mess with the deadzone sliders too, bring it up a little and put it back to zero to fix these.

I have no idea what causes this paranormal activity. Ofcorse the workaround is easy, but it's still annoying. :/

Logitech support says it's windows fault, Microsoft says it's Logitech or SRW fault.

It seems that DFGT was only made for mainstream PS gamers and left unsupported since the times of DrivingPro.

But puck it, it's a wheel that 3/4 players use all around the world for gaming.

-------

Well the FFB settings, especially the strength and sensitivity of the wheel is a lotery for me.

In the 6XJ4 champ, sometimes it feels like the strength is 10% then I restart the game, unplug/plug the wheel and it's like 50-60%.

The ingame sliders seem to work randomly on this wheel.

- Maybe I am just too sensitive to FFB :D changes

The biggest problem was with the Tuareg and Buggy. I had to lower the settings to 1% otherwise it would rip apart my wheel in giza.

Logitech needs to update their software ASAP, microsofts generic drivers are only for fashion.

The best thing would be a spot on Wheel wizard, with test option on a small mixed track with different FFB input and some explanation to each setting.

Why not just include this controller file as an update to the game? Replace the old with this permanently .

I think this .ini file is specific to Logitech wheels only .....

Hey guys, thank you for this and the other Logitech set up threads they have been a great help!

I decided after using the SRW-S1 wheel for a couple weeks to try mounting it to an old Logitech Formula Force GP wheel I had in the basement.  Still working on fine tuning the force feedback settings in game but I am very happy so far.

Here are a few pics I just took to show the new set up.  Because it is an old wheel I did not worry about having a "polished" final product so please ignore any flaws or extra glue :D  Also sorry if the pics are too big, I am not sure how to post thumbnails.

Having trouble opening the file with the ini to install the updated setup , think my security settings won't let me in to view and replace it.  Any previous posts on how to do that in Windows 7?  I promise to print it out and save it this time.

HEADS UP TO LOGITECH USERS :

I had noticed that some of the setups found in the forum had some faults for me , firstly it did not provide good feedback of traction loss at the limit and also steering response was a bit delayed causing me to miss apexes on quick corners.

so After consulting with Coss and other experienced racers , i came across this simple solution.

* First Download the controller file made by coss ( https://www.dropbox....oller.coss?dl=0) and rename to " controller.ini".

* Go to Appdata->Roaming->simraceway->USERDATA->(the folder with your username) and replace the existing controller.ini file with the new one.

* do not change the in game setting sliders ,  just remap the buttons to your liking.

* no need to save as a new profile , just hit apply and it will auto save to the .ini file .

* in the Logitech profiler create new profile for simracewayGame.exe and the settings should be as in the image attached . ( Change the Strength slider to your liking ) .

* degrees of rotation too vary according to personal choice  going from 270 deg all the way upto 900 for some drivers.

Since I got caught out with the sneaky Win 10 upgrade I've lost the rotation option from the Logitech Profiler. As a consequence my DFGT only recognises a quarter-turn to lock left or right. Is there anyone still around who might know how to get it back?

I've tried reinstalling the profiler, but that made no difference. I also unplugged the wheel and moved it to another USB port to see if that might force a change, but nothing.

I've just installed the controller posted in the OP, but that hasn't altered the profile. I'm about to test it in-game...

As a secondary issue... I've also lost the use of the gear stick.

I hope someone helps you, I know there are still folks that check in here.  I don't have anything helpful except I have Win10 and didn't have that problem.  Maybe just cause g27 is different.  I did go thru the options and remapped everything.  Good luck !

Thanks for your support Fett. I'm happy to say I figured it out! :)

I uninstalled the logitech profiler, closed down (I don't know if that was necessary, but I did it anyway) and reinstalled the profiler.

When I opened it I had the previously missing rotation option and everything is now back to normal.

Note for anyone in the same situation: It is not enough to run the install program with the profiler installed. I tried that and it doesn't work; you must uninstall it first.
