Cool, i like the new hotlap not being a challenge and bigger prizes always good. But you no longer get points for quali event? That kind of sucks, now this series is like any other, just with karts.

I'm a bit puzzled with this new format... Only Live Race will give me a points? I feel like losing my interest with this series...

There's almost no sense for me in taking part in Hot Lap event (except for practice) and not much sense in Heat Races...

Don't read this as "I'm too slow and I give up". ;) Previous system was just so much more rewarding for slower players.

Yes, it has a higher rank right now. More like a World Championship should be like. As you can see, the prizes have been lifted three times and this is not the end, more like a base for something even larger.

Yes, but don't hesitate to give it a shot, because just like in the Evolution X Championship - slower drivers are actually racing more than fastest ones, due to the structure of Heat Races. Depends what you're looking for, but basing on your performances to date - this format should be more fun to you, than previous ones.

I'll give this format a try, no doubt about that. ;) Simply gonna miss more points and points are fun too, even 1 point.

Well... Week 1 heat races were a lot of fun. I was 5th in H1 and 6th in H2, done best lap so far, almost 1 second faster than I was in Hot Lap event. And then was this - free slot for main race... Don't ask me twice. ;) Thanks, Coss!

The main race was a bit catastrophic, apart from that I was a bit out of my league. ;) I forgot how treacherous the walls are and took serious damage on 2nd or 3rd lap. Kart became nervous, lap times fell drastically, blue flag, blue flag, blue flag, blue flag (someone hit my rear by suprise when I was going slow out of one of corners, too slow maybe - sorry). In sum I got lost some 1-1,5 minute in proccess. Last place.

Thanks for race and congrats to top drivers!

i would like to say that the race format and the hours are really well thought out.

See you.

This new format works well I think and makes the live race even more important to score well. The old challenge races were quite lonely at times.

Also fuel strategy was a nice feature and makes it more interesting, thanks acerockolla  ;) . In all seriousness though I got lucky to win, ace was just half a lap short on fuel but had the race under control until then. Launger also pushed me very hard for most of the race and maybe a few laps more would have caught me.

That was one of the hardest races I have driven, concentration for 16 laps (20+ minutes) with the walls just millimetres away from you all of the time was tough adding to the fact that I struggled to keep hold of the wheel through an arm injury it went fairly well.

Looking forward to the next one.

Didnt quite have top2 pace anyway but first laps were total lagfest and i let in a big gap. Ace having to pit was nice gift but still not good enough i will try harder next rounds, good to have the competition.

Other 3 kart tracks should be better for me so lets see. Will they all be reverse and what is the order? A schedule would be nice

Quali was good, I got a really lucky lap in with help from Launger's draft. The race was also going well and I felt like I had a chance to win until lap 10 when I did some quick math and realized I probably wasn't going to make the race distance. In the garage before the race it said 2L (29 laps) so my logic was, "okay, sometimes this fuel estimation is wrong, but it can't be that far off. 2L should be more than enough." I was obviously wrong, so from lap 10 I decided that I was either going to just take it easy for the last couple of laps or pit and maintain decent position. I decided to pit since it looked like I had enough gap to finish safely in 3rd so that's what I did.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next race.

I just can't figure out where you guys are finding the speed in these karts. The heat races are still a blast but much less motivating with longer odds of qualifying. This format does favor the fastest drivers and unfortunately that does not include me. It was nice having a championship where luck and perseverance played a bigger role to mix things up a little. Oh well, SRW is still the best place to race. See you next week.

Yes, it was. I'm still not fan of this format, missing "endurance" factor... Last week I got luck and got place in Live Race, but whis week... Over 125 players already and I'm 31 with my personal best lap so far (I think)... Ouch, still a long way. See you in heat races, maybe. ;)

The good thing with hotlap format is you can use a ghost to find out where time can be gained or lost.

The key is to keep tight to all apex's but a few corners require what I call the V shape (late on entry and sharper turn to make a V shape)
