A bi-surface short-track oval, Ilkaville was opened in November 2012 to great fanfare. Earmarked as the ultimate template for 21st-century motorsport facilities, its progress is being monitored by a number of major race track owners across North America.

Located in north-eastern Iowa, this hi-tech hybrid course was initially created to sate an increasing demand from local Sprint Car and Modified racers. However its versatility allows it to cater for a far greater segment of the racing community. Employing an asphalt base, Ilkaville’s 0.64-mile circuit can be transformed in around 24 hours into a dirt track, thanks to an ingenious variation on the pallet system originally used to turn football stadiums into music venues, resulting in a multifunctional dirt- and paved-oval.

Really nice tracks, with plenty of room for at least 5 or more cars wide.

If the track had a working wide line too then it would be perfect, at the moment the inside is the only line but if it had banking with the outside line providing the same grip it could provide great passing.

Very fun though.
