Dear speed addicts !

I decided to share my custom setups, starting with only rttw/sro combos. Hope this topic will help to elevate the open setup class' racing quality, and populate it to the maximum :) There are many fast guys who miss out cause they don't have the time setting up their car. Also, it could be a good base to the ones who just had their first taste of open setup racing.

Anyone is free to share his setup, and doing this is highly appreciated !

here is a little guide by our fellow racer LoneWolfGAM, how to import-export your custom setup files:

and another very useful one about diverse setup options and their effects on your car

This is a great idea Daniel. I bet there are a lot of people like me, I got the basic knowledge but don't know what to do to get the proper effects.
I used to play F1C and I always used others setups to be 1-2 seconds faster.

So I probably skip the open setup this week but next week I'll definately try to learn something of your (and maybe others) setup(s).

I voted no because the setup itself wasn't helpful. I hadn't set up a car in any game before but the one I made myself was a few tenths faster than the one you gave. There wasn't much traction out of the corners and it understeered pretty bad. I may be wrong but I don't think even gears were set up for optimum speed.

The link you gave to the setup guide was very helpful though. I've been looking for a good one for a while.

This is my setup: https://www.dropbox....1devilbevin.svm

I know it's not perfect. I left many settings at default.

Thanks for sharing your setup devil ! The point of open setup racing is to fit the car to your driving style or abilities. :) I'm .5 off from the lead with mine (1:07:05), according to this and what you described above, i think our styles are quite different. The more people share their stuff here, the more it can be helpful to everyone ! Hope for some of the fastest are willing to join this conversation too.

This is a setup for the Asphalt Modified on road courses. Not mine, I think Coss said it was designed by a pro. It was designed particularly for Watkins Glen but works well everywhere. Enjoy  :)

2012 Boss 302

Sharing some settings that affects the car that I like

Watkins Glen:
Front Bump 4, Front Rebound 1
Rear Bump 5, Rear Rebound 3

Zandvoort:
Front Bump 4, Front Rebound 2
Rear Bump 5, Rear Rebound 3

These settings are not just limited to either watkins or zandvoort, feel free to use them in other locations as well, they just happened to be the last two places I drove.

Also, be advised while these settings work for me, they may or may not work for you.
