Opened: November 18, 2012
Location: Austin, Texas, USA
Turns: 20
Length: 3.427 mi
Real-world record: TBD
SRW virtual record: 1:37.137- Kidroca

Its 3.427-mile, counter-clockwise track presents an unusual challenge to drivers despite world-renowned designer Hermann Tilke taking inspiration for a number of its 20 corners from established F1 venues such as Silverstone, Hockenheim, and Istanbul. Featuring 133-feet of elevation change, its multitude of sixth-gear turns encourages high-speed overtaking while wider corners allow drivers to vary their racing lines, leading to even more on-track excitement. In 2013, the Circuit of The Americas will become the home of Australia’s V8 Supercars as well as the American Le Mans Series.

Props to You guys for getting this track into the sim so quickly. Could you reveal how you collected data for it? Is it laser scanned or u used cad data, gps maybe?
The elevation changes are very pronounced and they appear bigger than in f1 Codemaster's for example.

Yes I noticed that but the short layout doesn't seem to be there. It seems to be fully modelled in the long version of the track but there seems to be no option to select the short version. Will we be getting it soon?

Now I've had a bit of a chance to drive it,  the new track drives good and looks great. The only small thing I don't like is the blue in the sky is oversaturated and looks fake, compared to other tracks in the game which have realistic looking skies (I'm using a calibrated IPS monitor by the way).

Nice updating of this track, indeed the real version is really awful for me with tight  corners hard braking and so on. Can't understand as a real F1 car can handle here.

...and speaking of the national circuit, I was running the DW12 on it just last night. Great fun. Thanks.
