Opened: April 23, 2010
Location: Lake District, Aberdeen City, Great Britain
Turns: 9
Length: 2.781 mi
Real-world record: NA
SRW virtual record: 2:05.110 - Weeblesfall

Frustrated in his initial attempts to build "the Silverstone of the North" due to the region's undulating landscape and intemperate climate, racing fan Barnaby Ford decided instead to lobby the Houses of Parliament to make the roads on his land exempt from the stringent regulations that governed rallying on public highways. The exemption secured, he proceeded to create a 9-turn, 2.8-mile course, which has gone on to challenge and captivate drivers for decades with its signature limestone bridge and breathtaking surroundings. Longstone Pass is currently the destination for the annual Lakes TT Festival and is a candidate for a future Wales Rally GB 'power stage'.

A great track if you want the rally type experience. A limit to what types of cars can race here, unlike other tracks. Really only the WTCC and GT cars are fun to race here.

WTCC and this track would make for a great event.

My favorite track. Driven on that road many times long before it became a GT Race Platform. Really was quite nervy on the hang-over section then, as now, there was nearly always stones on the road then, as it is shown now in simulation. I used to drive on the road with my Mini in the late 60s early 70s.I practice on the track now with my Mini John Cooper Works, and Works S Coupe i would like very much if a Hot Lap or Quick Race was organised in the popular SRW events.

How about it Coss any chance.

It can be frightening to those who have not raced on it before, just as well it's simulation as on the old road the overhang is real, yes with stones sometimes all over the road it didn't pay you to look over the ridge as it is quite a big drop, but my little Mini would hug the road like glue, although it frightened the life out of the missus.

By the way it's not in Aberdeen City, that's in Scotland 100s of miles away, way up north of the UK it's in the Lake District yes, that's correct,a well visited part of the UK for holidays and tourists, although it rains just about every other day due to the mountains and hills, but a beautiful part of the world.

Don't drift too far you may go over the edge.
