Dear Racers   B)

Another new territory this week - TT Circuit Assen, paired with one of your most favourite cars. A combination that many of you know very well from events hosted in the last couple weeks.

I hope that all the knowledge about this track that you gained to date while driving various types of cars on it (Street, GTs, Open Wheelers) will make Race-Off 38 a great one  :)

Find all of the important details below...

Does this track have the problem, if you go to sand it's very difficult to get back to the road?

... but in this track, i dont know. If I accidentaly go to the sand, im done. And if I dont have fun, it's boring

well, it´s quite a challenge then as well. ...it´s the same for everyone, and just one reason more to be careful. Yeah, i also think that even complete grid of cars will have 5 finishers, but maybee we will also learn things like spatial awareness, respect to other drivers.. and i do think in just this race, SRW should also list those trapped in the sand for final results & points, even with few laps behind leader. But... i hope no need to remind you, leave room for one car, don´t push opponent off track and take extra care to stay on track, and we should have a nice event.

What concerns me... is low field. Esp. in my class 900-1000 it´s way easyer to go into top 14 than previous weeks.

I got a report from JMOO1 that a time posted in the very last session of Race to the Weekend 38 1000-1100 was lost. Unfortunately, even if I really want to - I wont be able to recover it. I've informed our engineers, because it wasn't the case before (last week), so hopefully it can get rolled back to the previous functionality.

However, keep in mind that this is a risk associated with posting times in the very last session (which overlaps with the event's ending time).

Well, since it has been confirmed that the Volkswagen Touareg, which i think should be stronger or at least as strong as the tractor, gets stuck in Assen's sand traps as well, there's no point getting those tractors out to push the unlucky racecars. Therefore, good luck everyone with trying not to get in the sand and of course clean racing will help.

Right -- Because its a matter of the physics

If the ground is rather slicky whether ice / snow or loose fine sand - even if you have big 4x4 engine with big tires and big torque - and Youre in 2nd gear  You Could manage to get stuck

Your car relies on the overall traction, And subsequent momentum - Which is why theres a As Seen on TV market , for Metal Traction plates to put under tires that are stuck

In todays NASCAR Nationwide Race at Mid Ohio :

Trevor Bayne [6] Roush Mustang got his car into the Turn 1 Sand. But He took his time to throttle control and launch on 2nd gear.

Instead of throttle controlling on Gear 1 , which so many drivers do which sucks the car a foot down into the gravel

Not only did he have static traction from the coarser dirt , He also took his time and was methodical - accelerating with good dynamic traction (not spinning tires On Gear 1, HE DID stall , no momentum there, but he saved time with fortune b/c of course the gravel at Mid Ohio is forgiving not just in Simraceway version)

What Im trying to state here is - Ive been able to launch out of TT Assen with Traction and Auto Clutch assists on in Quick Race( and not worrying about backing up to get leeway)

But the gravel tex in Simraceway Needs Serious considerations - If the dirt scrubs all the speed from 2750+ lb car, wouldnt it flip the car over instead end over end hahaha
