Legendary track in western Germany built in deep forest full of tricky corners and known as green hell. In the past Formula 1 used to take place here but was then moved to Südschleife(GP course) because of low safety.

 

Lenght: 20.8km

Hello to all Simraceway Drivers and especially those of you who are patiently waiting for their prizes to be paid out,

 

 

Be aware, that we are truly ashamed of the entire situation, so delays in reviews and effectively prize payouts. It has now reached a peak and it's time for us to take the most radical steps, in order to get this back on rails, like it used to be in the past.

 

Every single day, for the past few months, we are thinking about improvements to this process and trying various ideas out. How to keep providing you with great options to race and at the same time, ensure that the rewards for your hard work on the track are regularly transferred into your Simraceway accounts. So far, no matter what we've tried hasn't lead us to a satisfying result.

 

I have already mentioned each of the reasons for these delays in other threads, so will not get into that again, because you know all about it.

 

As mentioned above, we feel like it's time for the most radical steps and therefore after nearly 1.5 year of regular, monthly Championships, we will not host one in April. Instead, all of the efforts that are usually directed into hosting such a monthly Championship, will be directed towards repairing of the reviews and prize payouts process. 

 

We strongly believe that this move will finally allow us to break through this difficult situation.

 

Using the occasion, I want to thank all those of you who are affected, for the patience and in some cases for great support. Unfortunately, most of it has to be done inside of the team and at high level of credentials, to ensure that everything is fair and square, hence I cannot use all of the help that you offer.

It's been talked about a fair bit. What I would like to see is something similar to what's used in Game Stock Car (which runs on the same Rfactor engine) as it would prevent a lot of accidents and should be available in all views.

OK I got a new feature in the champ tables you might like.
 
 
In the tables, now you can click on a racer name, and it will take you to a summary of all of that racer's championships.  Also in the upper right corner of the page there is a link to Driver Data, which is the complete list of drivers in my tables.  You can use that to look for racers to look at their summary data, but now you can sort on columns for number of championships entered, number of championship wins (in all SQ classes), and amount of prize money won.
 
There are a couple of things to note.  First, although it says the data goes back to April 2014, there are several championships missing within this timeframe, most notably the July, August, and September championships in the SQ 900-1100 class.  I'll start adding this data soon.
 
The other thing to note is that because of the way SRW races are done where B racers can be promoted to the A race, and the B racers who did not get promoted get to move up in the B race points allocation, I can't tell who won the B races because I've always tracked the championships by championship points, and the B race participation/order is not stored separately.  So while I would like to acknowledge the B race winners, I didn't store the data to say who actually won the B races.
 
Edit 1:  OK I changed it so race positions are now marked A1 to A14, and B1 to B14.  Like I mentioned, I can't tell if the person marked B1 actually won the B race because of the B-to-A race promotion system.  But I wanted to acknowledge high B race finishes, so now for positions B1 to B3 you will see a splash of podium color in the lower right corner of the box.  For example see HANUMAN's page
 
On the driver list page I added a new column for total number of A race wins (all SQ classes).  I also put this info on the summary line on the individual driver pages.
 
Edit 2:  I forgot to mention, I need to give a shout out to Demitri for archiving the event pages, and Ribeiro, acosta88, and rtmetz92 for compiling data that I'm using in some of the older tables.

An Icon of American racing, 6 of these very rare pieces of machinery were built to fight Enzo Ferrari. It would subsequently win many races. With the many vintage classics we have in Simraceway, I think it's time we got another.

Built in the Royal Villa of Monza park in a woodland setting, the site has three tracks – the 5.793 kilometres (3.600 mi) Grand Prix track, the 2.405 kilometres (1.494 mi) Junior track and 4.250 kilometres (2.641 mi) high speed oval track with steep bankings which has been unused for many decades and is now decaying. The major features of the main grand prix track include the Curva Grande, the Curva di Lesmo, the Variante Ascari and the Curva Parabolica. The high speed curve, Curva Grande, is located after the Variante del Rettifilo chicane which is located at the end of the front straight or Rettifilo Tribune, and is usually taken flat out by Formula One Grand Prix cars.

I'm a long time member (2011). I've been away for a few months but I will say the game seems less friendly to new players now, and aside from the race to the weekend nothing much in to keep the old racers.  Back when I played a lot a few months ago everything you did online gave credits, that is no longer the case. Also, Karting was a good foot in the door for players to earn credits and start to really experience the game, no longer the case with the new credit system making karting weak in terms of gaining credits.

 

So the problem for a new player is that the game makes it difficult for them to progress at a decent pace and then you have all these great expensive cars on offer (that realistically have to be paid for with money) but nobody to race them against. Quick Races : Still for me consist of half a lap racing at most a handful of drivers, half of which quit before the first lap is over and then driving around on my own.

 

 

When I do hotlap events here I can always get the top 10 easily, within just a couple of laps. Not because I'm really good but because there just aren't enough people doing the events.  You have so much car content in the game and nothing really to use them with. The problem you have here is that the game expects too much work of a new player to get them hooked, and leaves players with very little other than hotlapping with quality content.


The content itself is quality, the cars are great and the tracks are awesome but you're just missing the game. Players can't create their own racing leagues, or drive the cars they want with their friends. There isn't any kind of single player game either and still the game is sitting in this nomans land of being a purely online racer consisting of hotlapping events and quick races that for the most part nobody even does, you have the race to the weekend as the only real opportunity to race.

 

The game is lacking players, and it's lacking players because it's not attractive enough as a game for people to play. A lot of the hardcore sim racing community enjoy racing in leagues. They do this on iRacing, Gran Turismo, Forza, F1 2012, Rfactor, Race 07 etc etc but they can't do it on Simraceway. A lot of the GT/Forza crowd appreciate some form of single player game, livery customisation and the ability to just cruise the cars they want with their friends, but they can't do it on Simraceway.


Like I said, the content is awesome and you have a lot of it, you just need more game for people to play.

So I wanted a more convenient way to list and compare the cars available on Simraceway, and I wanted a way to track the cars I owned, and more importantly, quickly see which cars I did not own yet so I could plan my next purchases.  So I made a web page that does all this.
 
It's a table that lists all the cars in Simraceway, as well as the performance figures.  The names of the cars link to the official Simraceway page where you can read the detailed description and buy the car.  The table is sortable, so you can list the cars by top speed or by 0-60 time.  Note that my data corrects some mistakes on the Simraceway pages, so there are a few minor discrepancies. I also added a new category 'Type' that some people might find interesting.
 
You can also mark all the cars that you own (read the instructions at the bottom of the page).  So now when you sort by top speed you can quickly see which is your fastest car (in a straight line at least :P), and which cars you need to buy next!  The way you save your data might seem odd and unfamiliar, but it has advantages.  When you mark all your cars and press the Update button, the data is stored in the URL in the browser address bar.  So to save your configuration, make a bookmark and the data is saved in the bookmark.  The advantage of this method is that you can share your collection so your friends can see which cars you own.  I provide a button to make a short bit.ly link that is easier to share.  If someone sends you their car collection, just make a bookmark to save their data to your browser.
 
I just whipped up this page over the last two days, so there might be some bugs, but it seems to be in good shape.  Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions.

Very special thanks to all of you, who continuously support Simraceway, regardless of everything!  :wub:

 

 

For the moment being, it seems that Simraceway's Online Racing World will remain in it's current state and there are plans to take it even further down from this point. That might include disabling of game downloads and registration for new users. All to save the costs of running as much, as possible without going for a complete shut down. Meanwhile, long term plans are emerging.

 

 

Taking that aside, I personally have no words to describe everything that you guys are doing in the past days. What an incredible community we've managed to gather around! Please, don't hesitate to use the TeamSpeak server that I've launched a longer while ago and never got to finalize it's configuration, then share with all of you: eurots6.gameservers.com:9270

Dear People of Simraceway!

 

 

You are amazing  :) Period.

 

Reading through your posts and especially all those great memories that you shared, makes me very emotional. I'm honoured to see it all. That's exactly why we've pushed so hard, especially during the past 2 years. As promised, I will give you all a better insight on that later on, but for now: fully focused on the current situation.

 

So what is the current situation? To put it shortly: around the time of May, a will to continue supporting of the online area has been dropped. I continued on my own from June and on, hoping that it's just a nightmare that will eventually end. It kind of did, just a couple weeks ago, but I'm still not fully woken up. Hope you get my metaphor.  ;)

 

There are plans for the future, as usual, but there is no plan at all for the current, online area of Simraceway. Me and Simon, so the two most engaged members of the team (leaders of the entire project between middle of 2013 and May 2015), have a very strong will to continue taking a good care of it and will be discussing these topics during the following days. 

 

 

Regarding the events, please continue to be patient.

would like to see this track in SRW, a pretty good circuit both f1 and for other competitions, also the environment and the situation of the circuit is very nice and want to be this important track in-game.
